Institute for Single Crystals
is a member of Scientific and Technological Corporation “Institute for Single Crystals" with the headquarter located in the city of Kharkov (Ukraine).

For more than 50 years, the institute has been one of the leaders in the former USSR in the following fields:
  • search for new materials for optical applications, development and improvement of methods and techniques for the growth of optical and constructional dielectric single crystals,
  • research of laser, optical, and semiconductor crystals and thin films,
  • manufacture of optical and constructional crystals for various applications.

The institute is provided with a unique set of equipment enabling the growth of single crystals by the Czochralski, Bridgeman, Shteber, Kiropulos, Verneuil, EFG and other methods.

Many years of experience in selecting optimum methods and modifying technology made it possible to obtain crystals of the highest quality.
The technology can be customized to meet the customers' demands.

The institute participates in the international scientific projects and programs and is always ready to cooperate with other scientific and technological institutions.
